Unprofessional Bastards...

.:WWE's Suicide Angle...:.

I don't find THIS funny. You find it funny?

Seriously, if he wanted to end it all, he wouldn't do it on webcast every week. There're simpler methods of doing it.

Like starving yourself to death or something.

.:Welcome To CandyMag Forums!:.

So I joined their forums. I filled out a form that included the most atrocious of details. Since when did a forum ask what your weekly allowance was?

And upon filling out the form, what do I get? A confirmation e-mail that told me....

Congratulations, you are now officially a Candy girl!

I am looking down my pants right now, and no, I don't think that's true.

.:Just Great:.

So I'm supposed to host a three-day event for a certain company in a certain mall. I won't mention their company name anymore simply because I don't want to bother giving them any publicity while I'm at it. They don't deserve to have their crappy company mentioned anymore, as far as I'm concerned.

In any case, I was told it's 3,000 bucks a day for three days. Not bad. That's a perfectly fine setup, although the usual going rate has usually been 3,500 per gig for hosts who aren't uber-famous. No problem so far, although they haven't been able to contact me in a timely fashion and provide me information with what I'm supposed to be doing for them.

Next thing I know, two days before the event, I find out that I'm low-balled into 2,000 a day for three days. 6,000 in total. Still not bad, and I wouldn't really mind a rate like that. It'd help me pay for some bills and then some.

But then, the kicker came. It wasn't a "hosting" deal like most hosting jobs that take two to three hours. They wanted me there from ten in the morning to nine in the evening for the next three days. For two thousand bucks a day? Who the fuck are they kidding?!? As if it wasn't enough for me to be shafted with a lower rate for hosting, I'm further screwed over by a schedule of eleven hours. More than thrice the regular length of a hosting gig.

And they have the nerve to ask to pay less? If anything, they should be paying more!

But wait, there's more. I respectfully told them that 2,000 was far too lowball for any host, and they can even try other radio stations if they're in doubt. So what do the damned cheapskates do?

They back out on me.

After I've fixed my schedule for them.

What an unprofessional bunch of bastards. I hope their event becomes a miserable failure.
