Samsung Fun Club Night: 10 October, 2008!

.:Samsung Fun Club Night!:.

Eastwood City Central Plaza was the venue for the amazing Samsung Fun Club night, that saw Eastwood go gaga over the latest and greatest in Samsung Phone Technology, not to mention amazing giveaways, prizes, activities, and a free concert courtesy of Parokya Ni Edgar.

For me, not only was it an excellent opportunity to join the Fun Club myself, but it was also a chance to reconnect with a few people whom I didn't expect to see there at all: former Aircheck Batchmates Cat and Piper were there, and so was John Hendrix and even the Triggerman.

The event was hosted by Sam YG, Tony Tony, Slick Rick, and Andi-9 from Magic 89.9. It was real fun seeing and hobnobbing with people from radio, as well as running into a few fellow bloggers, including Juned and Azrael. Admittedly, I don't have any picture to spare, but it was a great night, and you should've been there. Furthermore, the lovely Hazel from Samsung was glad to accommodate us and the other bloggers who went to the event. We even got to have a hands-on feel for their latest phones, and I must say, it was an enjoyable experience!

I actually won a prize, when Andi turned to me during their Q and A segment and nobody else was ready to answer the question. Since I knew what the answer was, it was all academic from there, and I ended up taking something home from Samsung yet again, since they also gave away free t-shirts just for visiting the six booths in the Central Plaza.

As usual, I ran into the bouncers I met from Redux and Mangaholix, and even had a short bit where I ended up doing magic for a few of Cat's friends. Shortly afterwards, the stage was set for Parokya Ni Edgar's performance, and they really just had the crowd eating in the palm of their hand. Needless to say, Parokya brought the house down, and they were their usual funny selves.

I can't help but really enjoy PnE's music. I've always been a big fan, and it was really excellent to hear their song that's currently my absolute favorite, "Akala".

Much thanks and love to Samsung for organizing this event! Thanks for having us over, and to everyone who wants a chance to be in on the latest from Samsung, join The Samsung Fun Club today! You won't regret it.
