A Two-Fer

.:Better Luck Next Time...:.

Did pretty well in my latest sanctioned tournament, but unfortunately, I had to contend with the fact that I simply died to tiebreaks.

Doomsday is back, indeed.

.:Impromptu Hosting:.

I was genuinely surprised to find out that I was going to host for the Sony Vaio Fashion Show in SMX Convention Center last Saturday, but it was certainly a welcome development. I not only had a lot of fun being there for the event and cracking jokes over the super original games we had ("Bring Me" FTW!), I even managed to freak out my client when I demonstrated my mentalism to them. Needless to say, Liquid Metal was the highlight of the day, yet again.

.:Casino Filipino Earlybird:.

Immediately after my hosting, I took a cab to get to Casino Filipino, only to find out I was a full two hours ahead of everybody else. So I just sat myself down there and waited for people to show up, and I realized that I really don't like gambling at all. I had a couple of coupons here and there that could've helped me on the gambling tables, but I'm simply not a gambling man.

Of course, the fact that they let a magician into a casino didn't go unnoticed to the bloggers, as well. This was a great event brought to us by PAGCOR, and much love to Ms. Janette Toral for inviting us over to be a part of this really great event. We had some controversial people show up for the most part, but all in all, I was happy hanging out with the usual suspects, such as AJ and Juned, for what turned out to be a pretty great night overall.

I also made a few new acquaintances as well, such as Errol and Erik, who were really cool guys. They forced a quick ending to my night of Poker when everyone was suddenly going all-in so soon at the table, essentially forcing a quick elimination of half the participants in one quick go. It was simply not my night for cards. Heh.

It was a great event, and even if I decided against trying my luck at gambling, I must say I was happy nonetheless that Saturday night was really an awesome time for everyone involved, and I managed to wow some people by performing for them that night, all the same.

If you missed this event, you just have to take comfort in the fact that there are tons of people who have no qualms telling you that you missed a helluva lot... :P
