.:Proposition 8 Fury...:.
I'm especially upset how certain African-American groups actually supported Proposition 8.
Hello there, people who have been complaining about discrimination for centuries? You just discriminated against someone, yourself!!!
If anyone should know anything about discrimination, it should be African-Americans. They know how it's like to be segregated in buses, to be denied employment because of their skin color, to be stereotyped as thugs and gangsters...
But you know what? Gay people have it worse!
Did an African-American ever have to come out of the closet and admit they're black?
Did a black man ever have to sit his parents down, and tell them, "mom, dad, I know you're not gonna believe this, but I'm black."
And of course, the parents, eternally disappointed in their son, tell him, "son, we love you, but my God! Anything but black!!! It was my fault, right? I let you watch 'Soul Train'! It was 'Soul Train'!!!"
They never had to sit down with their boss and tell them about their "black" lifestyle.
Boy, when you look at it that (tongue-in-cheek) way, black people don't have it nearly as hard as gay people do...
