.:The Raindrops Bring Out...:.
... the worst in cab drivers.
Really, it does. Cab drivers who'd normally take you to a reasonable destination suddenly collectively decided to turn their meters off and charge an arm and a leg to take their passengers anywhere at all.
Try it on a rainy Friday night. See if they'd take you anywhere without a struggle.
It's one of my pet peeves, really.
.:The Older Generation Rawks:.
I found this really nice story online.
A very self-important university freshman who took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen standing next to him at the bus stop that it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.
“You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one,” the student said, loud enough for the other passengers nearby to hear. “The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing and …”
When he paused for breath, the senior took advantage of the break in the student’s litany and said, “You’re right, son. We didn’t have those things when we were young, so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little prick, what are you doing for the next generation?”
Don’t you just love senior citizens?
.:I'll Be Talking About Blogging @ Cosplay Mania!:.
Aside from the fact that many cosplayers will be gracing the event known as "Cosplay Mania" (Who'd have thought it, right?) on September 13, yours truly will be part of a panel about blogging at the event around 11AM with other bloggers Otaking and Rotch. It should prove to be an awesome time, and I'm excited about it.
Well, Ranulf, Clair, Peppy, Mario, and the rest of the JGL, I'd sure be very appreciative if you guys could come around for some moral support. :)
Catch you guys there!
