.:It's A Little Bit Funny...:.

Amazing how having your friends wake up in the morning and catching your show can lead to a very fun and impromptu gathering with them.

One of Sacha's worries when she initially left for Japan was that her common friends would not keep in touch because their supposedly common denominator (Her.) would be gone. The fact that I kept well in touch with Dominique throughout and still went spinning here and there, plus a very good friendship with Sacha's sister Kathy more or less proved her worries were unfounded. Nowadays, with how people like Clair and myself get along so well, as well as other friends in the circle who enjoy each other's company all the more, I think Sacha would be pleased to know she more or less has a barkada now.

But that's not really the point of this post (Although it's nice to toss that in to reassure one of my closest friends that all will be well.), but to underscore what happened yesterday.

Anyways, so there I was, playing songs like “Invisible Man” for Diane and “Miss You” for Dang (Clair's sister.), but when I absent-mindedly greeted their family dog (Panda.) on air before I greeted their mom, I guess it was a bit of a gaff... heh. Clair kept on telling me I should've greeted their mom first...

After that, they decided to go to the station to meet up with me, but that didn't fly, since they were delayed. Didn't know Mario would be with them, but that was a welcome surprise. I left my boardwork at twelve (Yes, I went for six straight hours!), and promptly got told I shouldn't have left until Gia arrived, which I found annoying, although I was in the wrong there. On my way out, I ran into Sarah from RX, one of the new jocks, and it was really fun how that worked out. Talking to her was very enjoyable. She's still doing her studies, and considering how she's been doing the show with Chico and Delle, I really liked talking with her a lot. I was glad I got to know the new blood in RX despite having officially ended my Radio 1 stint there last year.

I told her how much I missed the stuff going on in RX, especially the music. Inasmuch as WAVE is really ahead when it comes to R and B, I'll never hear Sugarfree from my station, or Matchbox Twenty, or any of those other bands. Too bad, really, as my tastes in music are eclectic.

In any case, when we said our goodbyes at Megamall, I then looked for Clair and company who were already at Tokyo Tokyo, which was what we all planned to do. As the place was full, we then moved to Shangrila, in the middle of all my gay innuendo kicking in again. I was particularly enjoying the footsie joke and the fact that I was sharing a sumo meal with Mario... those things can be so wrong on many levels, but when I pull it off, it just becomes sooooo rrriiiiggghhhhttt... nyahahahaha.

I introduced Dang, Mario, Clair, and Diane to the sheer wonders of Tempura sauce when poured on the rice, and they loved it. It was fun conversing with them, as we really had a great time, although all but one of us wanted to watch “Can This Be Love”, so we had to take a rain check on that.

After we finished eating, we just stayed around the foodcourt for a while, as Diane told me she wanted to use me as some sort of character for a web comic she was going to make. I told her that won't be a problem, and then I sheepishly recalled how delayed my own work, the Battle Royale novel, has been so far. Diane then told me that despite a horrible first impression that I gave her, I've somewhat redeemed myself as of late, and I more or less am now in her good books. I'm glad to hear that, and I do appreciate it. I don't suppose the book thing had anything to do with it (Before or after the fact...), neh? Just kidding.

We then ran into Ranulf and Jill while we were hanging out there, and we were planning for a Black Lotus...

Marcelle: Sorry, Jill. I'm flirting with your boyfriend.

Jill: Sure. No problem!

Wow. There were a lot of great Kodak moments there. Did I mention that Clair and Diane had cat ears and rabbit ears respectively? It sure made for a lot of amusing stuff. After people discovered I had a photo with Ranulf while he was asleep, I was subsequently labeled as an Incubus. I decided to prove that point by singing a few bars of “Are You In”... corny... hehe.

Got to hug Mario again. Yay. And had my arms around Ron and Mario at one point, having the both of them freak out...

Ranulf: Why is everybody rubbing my tummy?

Marcelle: Lemme try. Wait... my aim might be low, though.

All in all, a very funny day...

.:Dampened:.

At the risk of sounding oblique again as I try to piece together another vituperation over yesterday, I'll stop myself and bring it up if it ever happens again.

For now, I'll just let it slide, though it does sting...

.:Phrase For The Day:.

Wo hao xiang ni

(I'm thinking of you a lot.)

"I Started A Joke" was by the Bee Gees, not the Beatles.
